DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) opened its office in the Republic of Korea in 2012, based in Seoul. The MSF Korea office focuses on four key pillars: (1) recruitment of skilled Korean medical and non-medical staff to dispatch to MSF field projects, (2) communications to the Korean public on global humanitarian crises and urgent health emergencies, (3) outreach to Korean stakeholders and policymakers in support of international community engagement and action, (4) and fundraising from Korean donors to directly support MSF medical humanitarian activities.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Acquisition Manager, the Acquisition Fundraiser implements acquisition plans to acquire new donors, and improves operational excellence to support the achievement of fundraising objectives and strategies. The Acquisition Fundraiser provides administrative support and follow up to acquisition activities as needed.
- To implement and improve F2F, DRTV and /or other acquisition channels as needed.
- To oversee external agencies hired for acquisition campaigns
- To develop new materials for acquisition campaigns
- To follow up budget related to acquisition campaigns
- To track, analyze and report to the Acquisition Manager on acquisition campaigns
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Implementation
- Implements monthly / quarterly schedule for each acquisition campaign
- Coordinates all related external agencies, including cost estimation, deliverables schedule and invoice process, and reports performance to Acquisition Manager.
- Assists with research on new acquisition channels as needed
- F2F
- Coordinates regular MSF training for campaigners
- Communicates with external agencies for database matching, territorial issues, arranging monthly target etc
- Develops and produces materials for campaigns
- DRTV
- Implements the activities according to the plans of line manager
- Oversees the production of materials
- Follows up with any administrative duties associated with DRTV
- Ensures that all tests are properly set up and tracked
- Ensures delivery of results and budget figures to the Acquisition Manager
- Supports any other acquisition channel as needed
2. Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitors results of each campaign and reports to Acquisition Manager in a timely manner
- Monitors closely the performance of each agency and reports to Acquisition Manger
- Makes recommendations on how to improve effectiveness to Acquisition Manager as needed
- Follow up budget and reports in a timely manner to Acquisition Manager
- Supports Acquisition Manager in researching and recommending new fundraising channels
3. General Duties
- Provide administrative support to Acquisition Manager as needed
- Assist other fundraising projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in NGOs and or corporation with experience in business process management
- Experience and successful delivery of a diverse range of marketing strategies.
- Extensive experience in multiple agency management and working with external suppliers to deliver projects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Superior time management skills and ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent MS office processing skills.
- Ability to work in a team and foster team spirit.
- Strong commitment to MSF’s humanitarian aid work.
- Self-starter. Ability to work independently.
- Fluent in written and spoken Korean and English.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Good understanding of MSF field programs and principles of action.
- Fundraising experience
