<DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION>
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) opened its office in the Republic of Korea in 2012, based in Seoul. The MSF Korea office focuses on four key pillars: (1) recruitment of skilled Korean medical and non-medical staff to dispatch to MSF field projects, (2) communications to the Korean public on global humanitarian crises and urgent health emergencies, (3) outreach to Korean stakeholders and policymakers in support of international community engagement and action, (4) and fundraising from Korean donors to directly support MSF medical humanitarian activities.
<PURPOSE OF THE POSITION>
Under the direct supervision of the Acquisition Manager, the Acquisition Fundraiser implements acquisition plans to acquire new donors, and improves operational excellence of new acquisition to support the achievement of fundraising objectives and strategies. The new Acquisition Fundraiser provides administrative support to all acquisition activities and closely works with the current Acquisition Specialist supporting all the acquisition activities as needed.
1. To support and assist F2F, DRTV and /or other acquisition channels as needed.
2. To support communications and relationship with external agencies contracted for acquisition campaigns.
3. To coordinate and manage campaign materials for acquisition campaigns.
4. To support managing budget and payment related to acquisition activities.
5. To provide necessary assistance to the acquisition manager, analysts and other members of the acquisition team.
<MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES>
1. Implementation
• Support implementation of monthly / quarterly acquisition plans scheduled for each acquisition campaign,
• Coordinates all the communications related to external agencies, including cost estimation, deliverables schedule and invoice process, and reports performances to Acquisition Manager,
• Provides updates on the expenses spent on acquisition to the finance department,
• Supports all tests and mystery shopping for F2F and DRTV,
• Assists research on new acquisition channels/events as needed.
▶ F2F
- Assists regular MSF training for campaigners,
- Supports MSF hospital programs and closely works with the current Acquisition Specialist,
- Monitors daily performances and communicates with external agencies for database matching, territorial issues, arranging monthly meeting schedules including necessary documents etc.,
- Orders and manages all F2F materials,
- Assists all documentation related to PIPA regulations,
▶ DRTV
- Assists the acquisition related activities(contract, regular meetings, training, etc) according to the annual plans,
- Researches and recommends new campaign materials in line with the themes of media contents planned,
- Follows up any administrative duties associated with DRTV,
- Supports monthly media planning and monitors the executions of daily programs as planned.
▶ Supports any other acquisition channel as needed.
2. Monitoring & Reporting
• Monitors results of each campaign and reports to Acquisition Manager in a timely manner,
• Monitors closely the performance of each agency and reports to Acquisition Manger,
• Communicates the requirements to external agencies and shares any issues related to campaigns with the acquisition teams,
• Supports Acquisition team in researching and recommending new fundraising channels,
• Prepares and manages records of purchase and payments and preserve receipts for FIN reference,
• Supports the acquisition process through detailed research,
• Prepares and submit the invoices to purchasing department in time,
• Monitors and process all monthly invoices and submits receipts to relevant department.
3. General Duties
• Provides administrative support to Acquisition Manager and the current Acquisition Specialist as needed,
• Assists and supports other fundraising projects as needed.
<QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS>
Essential skills and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
• Experience and successful delivery of a diverse range of marketing strategies.
• Some experience in multiple agency management and working with external suppliers to deliver projects.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Superior time management skills and ability to deliver to deadlines.
• Excellent MS office processing skills.
• Ability to work in a team and foster team spirit.
• Strong commitment to MSF’s humanitarian aid work.
• Self-starter. Ability to work independently.
• Fluent in written and spoken Korean and English.
Desirable skills and experience
• Good understanding of MSF field programs and principles of action.
• Fundraising experience.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in NGOs and or corporation with experience in business process management.
